# The Ethereum Sharding Meeting #2 - Berlin  As a parasitic conference of [Ethereum Client Dev Conference (ECDC) 2018](https://hackmd.io/s/rkHu8MjAM), Ethereum Foundation research team organized the second sharding meeting after ECDC on July 1st, 2018. We invited sharding client implementers and researchers to join the discussions of cutting-edge Ethereum layer one protocol scalability technology.
